Terms of Service
Last updated July 31, 2026
These terms cover your use of LodgeLink, a service for managing Elks lodge memberships. Using LodgeLink means these terms apply to you.
Who can use LodgeLink
You need an account, and accounts belong to people, not to offices or committees. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it.
Your lodge decides who belongs to it. We do not decide who a lodge admits, suspends, or expels, and we do not overrule a lodge's own decisions about its membership.
Your lodge's data
The membership records, documents, and files your lodge puts into LodgeLink belong to your lodge. We hold them to run the service for you. We do not sell them and we do not use them to build anything unrelated to serving your lodge.
You keep responsibility for what you upload. Do not put anything into LodgeLink that you do not have the right to store or share.
What LodgeLink is not
LodgeLink keeps records. It is not a bank, a payment processor, or an accountant. Payment entries record money your lodge collected in person, by cash or check. LodgeLink does not move money, does not process card payments, and does not file anything with any tax authority. Your lodge stays responsible for its own accounting and for meeting its own legal and Grand Lodge obligations.
Acceptable use
Do not use LodgeLink to:
- break the law, or help anyone else break it;
- reach lodge records you have not been given access to, or try to;
- harass another member, or send unsolicited bulk mail;
- disrupt, overload, or probe the service or the systems it runs on;
- copy the data of members who are not yours to contact.
We can suspend an account that is doing any of these, and we will tell the lodge why.
Availability
We work to keep LodgeLink running and its data intact, and we take backups. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime commitment. The service is provided as it is, and there will be times when it is down for maintenance or because something broke.
Keep your own copy of anything your lodge cannot afford to lose. Records that a lodge is required to retain should not exist only inside LodgeLink.
Ending your use
You can stop using LodgeLink whenever you like, and your lodge can ask us to close its account and export its records. We may close an account that goes unused for a long stretch, or one that is breaking these terms, and we will give reasonable notice before we do unless the situation makes that impossible.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, LodgeLink is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
We will update the date at the top of this page when these terms change, and we will give notice of a change that materially affects you. Continuing to use LodgeLink after a change means the new terms apply.
Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in the Privacy Policy.
